Khadija Zizi
My art helps me strike a beautiful balance with my teaching career: one feeds into the other. Painting brings me a certain lightness of being, which cascades onto my interaction with my students.
My paintings range from bringing home some exhilarating travels, to expressing my love for music and hailing women! My artistic approach is indeed eclectic. I combine acrylics with sand, resin, fabrics and pearls; I do collage as well.
I am Khadija Zizi, a mixed media artist, based in Rabat, Morocco. I started painting in 2000. My passion for this particular art form grew out of the need to express my emotions and listen to my senses. Oftentimes, when I start a painting, I have little idea of what the painting will look like at the end. Mixing colors, holding a brush and applying strokes on a canvas help me unleash ardent feelings. It is liberating!
